- Many young men can fear commitment and some young men simply use a young woman for sex. It appears your ex is using you. Unless he is ready to commit to you then there is no relationship and he's having his cake and eating it too. Communication is very important and you should tell him how you feel and that if he can't commit then he can keep going. If you don't have respect for yourself then he won't respect you. He will either commit and stay or he will leave and if he does leave it's better you know just what type of young man he is and you can move on and eventually will find that special person that you deserve.
