A level of 0.5 means you were not pregnant or not far enough into pregnancy a week ago for it to register. If you have still not yet had your period repeating the test now may give you a much higher level showing that you are pregnant.
In general, falling hCG is not a great sign in pregnancy. Often it can be an indicator that a miscarriage MAY happen. Your doctor would be the best to know what is happening in your particular pregnancy.
Are you trying to conceive? Some people have symptoms because their mind is tricking their body into feeling a certain way but if your hcg levels are zero chances are that you are not pregnant. Pregnancy does raise the levels rather quickly after conception.
No, it has to be at minimum of 5. Make sure you did not do the test to early, if not, you are not pregnant. ( I know because I did the test aswell)

A full term human pregnancy is to 259 - 280 days or 37-40 weeks. This is calculated from the first day of your last period, so to be more accurate, if conception took place 14 days after the first day of your last period, you need to subtract 14 days from the 259-280 days. However, the way the medical community gages it, a woman is considered 2 weeks pregnant the day she conceives because they chart the pregnancy from the first day of the last menstrual cycle.
January 2nd 2011? Your rough conception date would be April 10th 2010, give or take a few days. However, it's difficult to accurately say when your conception date was. I suggest speaking to your doctor, midwife or obstetrician to get a better idea.

It's more typical around 3 weeks or longer.
== == == == It's possible that you could get these levels at 10 days past ovulation, though many women will need a little longer to develop this much HCG in their bloodstream. One measurement at this low level really doesn't tell you very much, a second test to see if it is rising is needed.
