yes it does in a way, the medication is used for treating ADHD. it works by balancing the hormone levels. it isn't a change that will be visual it is a mental change. it helps the glucose in your sons system go equaly to every part of his brain. there are many side affects with concerta XL but they aren't severe.

i know this because i am a 16 year old young man with ADHD and i was on medication from the age of 6 to 14 then i came off of it and the change in my behaviour and daily routine was dramatic, i went through school and i barely finished, i was not on medication the whole way through year 9 to year 11 and in that time i got expelled out of 4 schools. in my own views on your son taking concerta XL i think it will be the better decision and i think it will help your son not only now but in the future as well. i am now 16 and i have made it in to college i am already a fully qualified mechanic and i am now at this time taking 98mg of concerta XL and my life is so much better since i started taking medication

your son will be fine on this medication it will be for the better of him

your's sincerly
