Compare DSL Internet Providers

Nothing has changed the power and popularity of the internet as much the availability of affordable, reliable DSL. Instead of the agony of prehistoric modem connections, DSL makes web surfing quick and painless and even allows relatively quick downloading of movies and music. Although cable speeds have surpassed those of DSL, cable connections do not approach the affordability of DSL, which allows DSL to retain its popularity. Also, unless a user plans on downloading large files, DSL suits any casual web use.

Verizon

Verizon recently entered the field of DSL competition. After consistently receiving the highest ratings of cellular providers, it afforded both DSL and cable services. If a user wants a package deal, Verizon offers the best choices, with dozens of packages available for any household. Also, since Verizon wants to gain new customers in its new venture, it offers excellent deals.

AT&T

AT&T currently offers the best value in DSL packages. For $15 a month, one can have a reliable and quick DSL line. For faster speeds, AT&T has several other packages available. The highest, at only $25 a month, downloads files at 600 kilobytes per second, pretty fast for the price. Also, AT&T offers higher speeds and auto-pay, so, once a user signs up, he or she never has to think about paying. And installation is a breeze. One just has to plug the DSL modem into the phone line and register on the internet.

For a single DSL line with no other features, AT&T offers the most affordable choice, but if a user wants a package deal, Verizon has many great deals.

DSL satisfies almost all users when internet browsing, and, with plenty of affordable packages out there, any user can customize his or hers to suit any needs. For internet gaming, movie and music streaming and even online business, Verizon and AT&T both offer the best in DSL.
