Read on for some yummy ideas to keep you from the usual crash-and-burn routine that follows a skipped breakfast.

Eggs galore

Eggs provide an exquisite amount of flavor and protein to your breakfast. They also cook in so many wonderful ways. A good amount of healthy protein and fat is two egg whites combined with one whole egg. This way you eat only one yolk and still get all the goodness from the other two eggs. Whip the egg in a bowl to mix up the yolk. Throw your favorite veggies in a pan and saute them with onions, spinach and mushrooms. Once the veggies are cooked to your liking, pour in the egg mixture. Stir it up as it cooks and eat them scrambled. Another option is to pour the mixture into the pan first. Allow it to cook to the point of being able to flip it. Once you flip it, add your sauteed veggies over half of it. Also, add some shredded cheese if you like. Then flip the other half of the egg over the veggies. Flip the entire egg over and cook the other side. Now you have an amazingly delicious and healthy omelet.

Oats, oats, oats

Another fabulous breakfast option comes in a raw form and is super healthy. Rolled oats fill your stomach with an energetic carbohydrate that is sure to keep you running at full speed until lunch. Oatmeal is available in a traditional or instant version. The instant variety usually has a bit more sugar but is finished cooking in a minute and a half in the microwave. If you choose this option, it is best not to add any extra toppings unless you add fresh fruit, e.g. banana slices. The traditional oatmeal cooks in about five minutes in a microwave or about seven on the stove top. You can add more or less water for thicker or thinner oatmeal. Once cooked to your desired consistency, just add a teaspoon of butter and no more than two teaspoons of sweetener (raw, white or brown sugar). Another natural option is a nectar. Agave nectar is a natural sweetener that requires just a few drops. You can find more information on agave nectar at http://www.allaboutagave.com. Just stir it up and enjoy!

Love meat?

For you meat lovers out there, enjoy a more natural and healthy alternative to bacon or sausage. Many breakfasts come with eggs, some sort of meat, bread, potato and pancake. That is entirely too much food. You can enjoy a mixture of the above, in smaller quantities, and still eat a delicious meal. Try combining the egg choice with hashbrowns. Another choice could be meat and a pancake. If you can locate a meat or butcher's market, you can find a less processed and oftentimes more choice of meat for your breakfast. Go out on a limb and try turkey sausage or bacon rather than the traditional pork meats. Turkey options are generally lower in fat but not taste. They often have just as much sodium but typically not more than pork.

Remember the less dairy, oils and fats you use the healthier your breakfast is and the better your body maintains its energy.

Enjoy your meals throughout the day. Breakfast starts your day off with a swift glide into lunch. Do not forget to enjoy small, healthy snacks between larger meals. You are sure to have more energy and find yourself desiring to eat more healthy. You can find some tasty dishes at http://allrecipes.com/Recipes/breakfast-and-brunch/egg-dishes/omelets/main.aspx.
