Graduation Party Supplies

Planning a graduation party involves a bit of work, especially when you are responsible for buying all of the supplies. It is so easy to forget something important! Here is a simple guide to help you remember the basics.

For the meal

If you are serving food at the party, remember to stock up on paper plates, napkins and cups as well as plastic forks and spoons. Buy more of these than you have guests, since some people go back for seconds after tossing their plate or cup. Choose items in the school's colors if you can find them, or select one of the graduation themed sets that are available in party stores and online. Other items you may want to have on hand are cold packs, ice tongs, serving utensils, doggy bags, coolers for drinks and buckets for collecting empty cans.

Activities

In addition to the food, the other important element of a graduation party is the entertainment. Here is a list of supplies you can pick and choose from for a great time. Many of these are expensive, so consider borrowing them from friends if you do not have your own. Volleyball nets and a volleyball, badminton sets, horseshoes, ladder golf and water balloons. If there are children at the party, water balloons are a great choice.

Other supplies

There are a few other optional items you should bring. Find a hat box and cut a hole in it for cards so that your grad does not lose them. Also, supply a poster or guest book for people to sign. Do not forget decorations! Balloons and streamers are sufficient in most cases.

Throwing a graduation party is challenging. Pick up these basics, and you are set for a good time. Add other things to the list as needed.
