How to Duplicate a DVD

Copying a DVD is sometimes necessary to back up information. DVDs don't last forever and they can get scratched and damaged even with proper care. Like anything, DVDs also deteriorate over time.

Copying a DVD is a simple process if you have the right equipment. At a minimum you need a DVD recordable drive, your source DVD, a blank DVD, and a program to make the software copy. The software you need is commonly called a  DVD ripping program. These programs can be a bit difficult to find because of legal constraints involved in copywrite laws. The software you choose will usually guide you step by step until completion. A couple good programs you may want to check out first are Nero 9 and Super DVD Creator 9.8.8.
