These vehicles are not cheap and remain a substantial investment in a recreational activity. Knowing where to find the best deal for one can save hundreds or thousands of dollars, which you could spend improving the ATV.

Always the first suggestion in any item search list, Craigslist has turned into a tool that is important for you to use. Not using Craigslist simply costs you money. Similar to a newspaper's classifieds, Craigslist allows sellers to offer you numerous color photos and long descriptions of a racing ATV, and also gives you an excellent way to communicate with them. Best of all, it can look locally or nationally, so you can discover when a great deal is just one state over.

Ebay

Six or seven years ago, eBay would sit at the top of the list of recommended resources, but in the last few years, ever-increasing fees and the expansion of seller restrictions, along with an increase of bulk sellers, makes eBay a so-so place to do business. Looking is free and can not hurt. Look carefully at the ATV, and do not fear bombarding the seller with questions. If sellers really want to sell you their items, they encourage questions.

Local auctions and garage sales.

Checking local listings helps track down nearby deals on ATVs, whether in an auction or even a garage sale. Many people purchase ATVs and then find that they do not use them or want the quick cash from a sale. When that happens, you can net a great deal. Make sure to check other states and regions, and do not limit yourself to just your county.

Racing along on a powerful ATV is a great thrill, so finding a good deal means that you can get out on trails and paths even more.
