Crowned eagles (Stephanoaetus coronatus) prey primarily on mammals such as the blue duiker (Cephalophus monticola) and monkeys belonging to the Guenon family, such as the red-tailed guenon (Cercopithecus erythrotis).

Animals that live in West Africa consist of; antelopes, bonobo, chimpanzee, gorilla, Mandrill, scaly-tailed squirrels, otter shrews, duikers, okapi, hippopotamus, Cercopithecus monkeys, bushbabies, pygmy hippo, duiker, birds (Congo peafowl, African Gray Parrot) and millions of other animals.
