Top grossing films
Please note that following the tradition of the English language film industry, these
are the top grossing films that were first released in the United States and
Canada in 2006; because they may have made most of their income in a later year, they may not be
the top-grossing films for calendar year. The top ten of 2006 as of August 27, 2007
(Worldwide, U.S. & Canada and International); March 18, 2007 (UK) and January 14, 2007 (Australia) are as follows:
U.S./Canada and International box-office gross figures are in U.S. dollars, British results in
millions "M" of pounds sterling, and Australian results in Australian dollars.
