Going Christmas carolling is not really an Australian tradition.
There are still large gatherings of people at Carols by Candlelight
celebrations, but groups of carollers do not, on the whole, travel
between houses. Groups may visit hospitals and nursing homes.
Carollers can be found at shopping centres and in city malls,
and often the Salvation Army will have a Christmas band marching
and playing as they wander through the shopping centres.
