Diaphoresis is excessive sweating associated with things like
shock or other emergency conditions. Diaphoresis doesn't only occur
in emergency situations though, because it's also pretty common
when eating spicy food, or even when someone experiences strong
emotions like anger, fear etc. PTSD can cause diaphoresis when the
patient remembers the past trauma.
Basically, Diaphoresis is excessive and profuse sweating.
