Daily cleanings should include sweeping and damp cloth wiping. A
variety of daily cleaners are available; my own favorite is Dupont
Stonetech Revitalizer, but there are many others. Miracle Sealants
makes a good one, too. To really get the tile clean you will want
to use a mildly acidic cleaner but these should not be used
frequently as over time they will damage the grout, the base
mortar, and perhaps even the tile. If, after installation, your
tile looks icky and dirty and has white residue, you will need a
grout haze remover. Follow the directions carefully to minimize
damage to the grout. Significant buildup of wax, sealant, etc., can
be removed with Citristrip, available at most large hardware
stores. After using haze remover, Citristrip, or other harsh
products, you will want to reseal the tile. I use Miracle Sealant
"511 Impregnator."
