Progressive. Generally speaking, it features unusual song arrangements and key/time signatures and utilises extremely skilled musicians. There is no limits to the instruments that can be used in prog, but most bands have a guitarist, drummer and keyboard player, one of whom sings (although they may have a specialised singer) and mostly a bassist. Prog rock and prog metal are very similar, although prog metal is heavier and less whimsical than prog rock.
