John Quincy Adams had the first billiards table placed in the White House. Congress would not pay for it, so he paid for it himself. I do not know whether Adams' table had pockets. Pool and billiards are often used interchangeably, but some use billiards only to mean a pocketless game. The current pool table in the White House has pockets and was installed by George W. Bush.

To dress like Evie Zamora, you must think in a rebel attitude. Trust me, I have watched and fell in love with the movie, Thirteen, ever since I was nine! Lol.. But to start with:

Hair: Evie liked to keep it wavy or straightened, wherever she went. She wore her hair in little braids around her hairline. Sometimes, she let her layers fall from her pony tails.

Makeup: Black eyeliner, natural looking foundation, lip gloss, and glitter. She looks like she has great hygiene, sooo have good hygiene! (Do not over do it, unless you wanna look fake and just unnatural)

Tops: She wore laced vests, cropped tanks, cut tees. Watch the movie and watch what she does to her clothes. In a deleted scene, her and Tracy cut up Tracy's old clothes. In one scene she stole Mason's (Tracy's brother) favorite tee shirt and laced it up with strips along her sides and pinned it up with safety pins.

Panties and Bras: Evie has a glitter strap bra and usually black bras. Thongs are always used in Thirteen. But please don't over do it, kinda trashy...

Jeans: Pocketless. Flare. Leopard. Glitter. Tight Fitting. Keep it retro and a hint of hippie. One pair of her jeans had a glitter heart on the back pocket, leather lace (again) pocketless and flared.

Shoes: You know how Tracy stole that wallet in the first couple scenes? They went to sketchers with the whole 800$... sketchers do not look good anymore, to me. They wore converse shoes. Keep them Dark colors, not like neon green or pink. That's a big no no to Evie's style.

Accessories!: Fringe handbags, glittery bracelets, tongue ring, hoop earrings, cross necklace, belly ring! Again: do not over do the piercings. The tongue and belly ring fit her. Remember, it may not fit you.

Plus: Start smoking cigarettes, taking drugs, having sex, and being a rebel. Please, do not act like a poser if you just started. keep it cool. chill. but according to law do not act stupid. Have friends like Astrid and Tracy.

During the great depression, the "pool halls" were basically gambling establishments where you could place off track bets and wait to hear the ticker or runners come back with results. As part of the business, billiard tables were installed so the normal patrons would stick around and bet more. These began being referred to as pool tables.
