I don't use oil, but i use a can of silicone spray. I spray it all along the rubber edges of the roof on both the frame and the roof itself. I also spray the lock rods on the roof.

To stop moss from growing on the roof of your house, you can use a bleach spray. Hook it up to the waterhose if you need to, and spray the roof of your home.

Yes! We sprayed it on our roof, shed roof and well house roof. The moss is disappearing. It does take a few months to work though. It's not instantaneous, but it is non toxic. Rain helps the product work. Highly Recommended!
