Yes actually. If a cat somewhat steps on a woodchip, it can
result as a splinter in the cat's paw pads. If a splinter is left
too long in a cat's pads, it can cause an infection to the cat's
paw. However, if a feline decides to eat a woodchip, it can result
in sickness, or death. Wood is a hard, pointy material not meant to
be eaten by certain animals, especially a cat. Wood can tear slight
scratches into the trachea, and other inside body parts such as the
stomach, this can cause death. If your cat smallows woodchips, go
to the vet idmediatly.
