The main road into Bournemouth from the North and East is the A338 (which links with the A31). From Poole in the West, the main road is the A35.

Take the A26 from Calais to Reims

At Reims take the A4 to Strasbourg

At Strasbourg head onto the A35 which will take you across the city

There's a temporary gap in the A35 south of Strasbourg. Follow the signs to Colmar and you'll arrive back on the A35, and head towards Mulhouse

After you pass Mulhouse you'll cross the border into Switzerland, and arrive in Basel

Take the A3 towads Zurich. On the way, you'll join the A1.

The journey takes about 7.5 hours.
