Description
Leaves large, palmately lobed or divided. Calyx thin, split along one side, united at the base to the base of the petals and the staminal column.
How to Grow
Plant seeds outdoors as soon as the ground is warm. In summer the plants need a great deal of water. They prefer warm weather.

Pods ribbed and beaked, 4-12 in. (10-30 cm) long. Old World tropics. Fruit matures in summer. Tender annual.
