The AC-130 Spectre was a converted C-130 Hercules transport plane used in Vietnam as an aerial gunship.

The USAF's first aerial GUNSHIP; "Puff the Magic Dragon." The civilian version of the C-47 is the DC-3. "Puff" was replaced by the C-119 Flying Boxcar gunship, which was replaced by the AC-130 Spectre Gunship, which is still in the USAF inventory.
