A full-featured desktop publishing program for Windows and Macintosh from Adobe. PageMaker is the de facto standard in the graphics arts industry. It is used to create ads, brochures, newsletters and books of all sizes and kinds. Originally introduced for the Mac in 1985 by Aldus Corporation, it set the standard for desktop publishing. In fact, Paul Brainerd, president of Aldus, coined the term. The PC version was introduced in 1987 for Windows 1.0 and was the first non-Microsoft Windows application.
