Irish flag carrier Aer Lingus flies to places near and far from its Atlantic isle. The carrier provides passenger and cargo transportation services from Ireland to markets in the UK, continental Europe, and the US. Overall, Aer Lingus serves about 80 destinations with a fleet of more than 40 Airbus jets. It extends its network through code-sharing relationships with carriers such as British Airways, United Continental's United Airlines, and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. (Code-sharing allows airlines to sell tickets on one another's flights and thus offers potential passengers service to more destinations.) Aer Lingus also maintains a marketing alliance with JetBlue.
