The agriculture industry in Morocco employs about 40% of the population, whereas the agriculture industry in Algeria only employs about 14% of the population. Morocco's climate, with frequent rain, makes it a good place to grow food and creates good farmland. Algeria is much warmer and dryer, and the environment is less hospitable for planting and farming. As a result, the agriculture industry in Algeria is not enough to support the food needs of the population. The farmland is much better in Morocco, and the population is able to be sustained on food grown in the country.
