Air Transat 236 - Over 120 Kilometers

Air Transat was created in 1986.

For a commercial flight it would be Air Transat flight 236 after it suffered fuel starvation over the Atlantic and glided without engine power for about 85 miles before making an emergency landing at Lajes airforce bases in the Azores and no major injurires to the aircraft or passengers.

Air Transat has been in business since 1977. Their first ever flight took place on November 14, 1987. They are headquartered in Montreal, Quebec and have earned numerous awards throughout their years of service.

Air Transat main competitors are Air Canada and West Jet. Air Transat is a smaller airline company who deals mainly in the Holiday package and winter sun routes.
