  1. The time during which a radio or television station is broadcasting. Also called airspace.
  2. The time at which a radio or television program is broadcast.

i. The time during which aircraft is airborne. It is the elapsed time from the start of the takeoff run to the end of the landing run.
ii. In instructional flying, the time spent by a student in the air.
