The AK-47 does not appear in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. However, at one point in the Plant chapter you are required to obtain an AKS-74u to impersonate a Gurlukovich mercenary. You must return to the Struf F warehouse and enter the Lvl 2 room in the lower level to the north. There you will find the AKS-74u as well as a suppressor attachment.

It's CALLED, auvtomat kalashinikov. An AK-47. Use it like any other gun. If you are talking about the AKS-74U, hold it tight, and aim. That's it. I'm worried that you own one and you probably aren't in the army right now.

The Walther firearms are real and given their correct names; all others are based on real weapons but given other names (e.g. guns based on the Steyr Aug and the AKS-74U are renamed the FRWL and A3 Raker).
