The UK is huge so I suggest you look up "Sex therapists" in your local phone book.

Probably none. It would be best to discuss the possibility of a different medication with your doctor to avoid this problem, (ex, Zoloft instead of Paxil).

Before I answer your question, here is some background information on Lexapro for your personal reference: Lexapro is an Antidepressant and an SSRI. This drug is meant for patients who have depressive disorders, anxiety disorders or panic disorders. It is available in 5, 10, and 20mg tablets as well as in a liquid form. Some of the major side effects include: insomnia, complex sleep disorders, sweating, dry mouth, constipation, diarrhea, indigestion, abdominal pain, decreased appetite, impotence, anorgasmia in females, decreased libido, rhinitis, sinusitis, flu-like stmptoms, and anaphylaxis Alright, now to answer your question. You are probably experiencing the side effect of insomnia or complex sleep disorders. These both can be very serious to a person's health as adequate sleep is necessary to stay healthy. The onset of the drug is slow after taken, and it is likely that you only take it once or twice daily. This is because the medication works slowly and lasts several hours. This medication has its peak effect 3.5-6.5 hours after taking it, but this does not mean your side effects will only last this long. In fact, they could last all day. If this problem persists, I suggest going to see the doctor who has perscribed this medication to you to describe the side effects you may be having. This way, the doctor could help you fix the problem and may even put you on a different medication that wont produce the undesired effects. ** All of my information came from the 2008 Lippincott's Nursing Drug Guide by Amy M. Karch ** I hope this helped! - Brittany :)
