Antonius de Arena
(b Solliès, late 15th century; d St Rémy or Solliès, 1544 or later). French judge, man of letters and dance theorist. His dance instruction manual Ad suos compagnones studiantes (1529, 32 edn.s to 1770) contains a valuable study of the basse danse in the south of France, with 58 choreographed dances.
