• Araby comprises the fictional or romanticised traditional counterpart to Arabia or to the Arab world. Note for example the song The Sheik of Araby. In the context of Edward Said's view of Orientalism, Araby exemplifies the exotic and mysterious nature of the Middle East.

• "Araby" is also the name of a short story from James Joyce's Dubliners.

• Araby is a country in the Warhammer Fantasy setting for games and books by Games Workshop.

• The Gulf of Araby is a song by Katell Keineg, which was also performed by Natalie Merchant.

• Arabi (Arabic: عربي) is the rough transliteration of the Arabic word for "Arabic".
