Associate Creative Director, or Deputy Creative Director, is a Creative Director's best mate. While a Creative Director is seen as a strategic decision-maker in regards to creative materials and how these materials suffice a client's tasks, an ACD takes care of more tactical matters, keeping an eye on the creative process inside a Creative Department, making sure the result matches the strategic vision of a CD.

An associate director is an upper management position. It involves various supervising, directing and training duties. They are also usually required to make creative decisions and have extensive software knowledge.

Depends on the organization. In my organization, an Assistant Director, is lower than an Associate Director and an Associate Director lower than a Director.

An Assistant Director is higher than an Associate Director. So I imagine that the Senior Assistant Director is higher on the chain of command than the Senior Associate Director.

The director is higher ranked. The associate director works for the director. The associate director is the one that has to run errands, and do all the thing that the director doesn't want to do. The associate director is like the directors personal secretary. If I'm wrong about this then let me know. I'm dying to know.
