Ridgwayia pinicola 8½″ (21 cm). A robin-like thrush with a dark hood, white belly, white rump. Wings strikingly patched with white.Male, blackish on head, breast, and back; female brownish.

West: Casual stray near Mexican border of w. Texas (Big Bend) and mountains of se. Arizona.
