It may have started out as a one-man business in 1983, but today Bechtle is among Europe's IT giants. The company provides a full array of IT services from some 60 locations in Germany and Switzerland; areas of expertise include service and support, project management and consulting, managed services, training, business processes, and IT infrastructure and engineering. Business applications range from financial tools and CRM offerings to eCommerce and business intelligence reporting. Bechtle also distributes IT-related hardware and software products through Internet sites in nine European countries. The family of chairman Gerhard Schick owns about a third of the company.
