It is currently impossible to predict with certainty when and how biological or nonbiological immortality will be invented. The concept of immortality is complex and involves overcoming numerous biological and technological challenges. While scientific advancements continue to push the boundaries of our understanding, it is important to note that achieving true immortality still remains highly speculative at this point.

As of now, there is no scientific evidence to support the existence of immortality in humans. While some organisms in nature may exhibit traits of biological immortality, such as certain jellyfish and lobsters, the concept of everlasting life in humans remains a topic of speculation and science fiction.

The definition of biological immortality has recently changed to mean cells that have a stable or decreasing mortality rate due to old age. A cell may still be considered immortal and still die from injury or disease.
