No, rednecks are poor white farmers of the southeastern United States. They get they're name from having sunburnt or "red" necks.

How about Chinese or Gays? Who else do you hate? Being a Redneck is no more than a lifestyle! Get with it! I've known wonderful rednecks and miserable college professors. A lifestyle does not predetermine a person's quality. I think that each of us must understand that we have a mixed society. Christians, Jews, Muslems and Atheists. Rich and poor, conservatives and liberals. Sophisticats and rednecks. And each lifestyles has their good and bad people. So open up and take each and every person for their worth. There might be even some worthwhile rednecks.
