Biography

Bonanza, a group of six lively and talented musicians from Jalisco, Mexico, released its debut album, Mas Que Oro, in 1993. Earning success in its Mexican homeland, Bonanza also earned fans in Paraguay and Argentina, with several singles making the U.S. charts during the '90s, including "Abrazame" and "Sabor a Nada." The consistent sounds of the slightly changing lineup come from Arturo DeLaIsla (vocals), Ruben Aguilera (percussion), and Jehu Sanchez (bass).

WEA Latina released Bonanza's sophomore album, Reflejo del Sol, in 1994. The following year EMI released Entre Suenos, and two years later Fonovis released Soy Rebelde with its favorite tracks of "Te Tengo Que Olvidar" and "Veneno." Lideres released Sin Verte in May 2000, an album beginning and ending with its title song. ~ Eleanor Ditzel, All Music Guide
