"Bourse" is the European way of saying "stock exchange"; by extension it has come to mean any non-American market for the trading of stocks and bonds:
"A flood of sell orders forced the Tokyo Stock Exchange — the world's second-largest bourse — to close about 20 minutes earlier than normal after investors were shaken by an investigation into possible securities violations at Web portal operator Livedoor."

French for stock exchange; a generic term for European exchanges trading listed securities, and in some countries, foreign exchange. It is used most often in France and Belgium. Called borsa in Italy and borse in Germany.
