Bradley J. "Brad" Sherman (born October 24 1954) is an American politician. He has been a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives since 1997, representing California's 27th congressional district. He was born in Los Angeles, California, was educated at the University of California, Los Angeles and Harvard Law School, and was a lawyer and accountant before entering the House. He also served two terms on the California State Board of Equalization.

Personal life

On December 3, 2006, Sherman married Lisa Nicola Kaplan, a foreign affairs officer for the U.S. State Department[1], and the wedding was announced on the Colbert Report.
