Brassy were a multi-faceted British band, with an American singer. Muffin Spencer, the sister of Jon Spencer (of Jon Spencer Blues Explosion), was the band's lead vocalist. The band is currently on a semi-permanent hiatus.

Their earliest material was on the label Costermonger. When that label ran out of money they moved on to Wiiija where they released two albums.
