BEHIND-THE-SCENES: When Castlevania for the N64 was first created, four playable characters were designed. They included Kohnel (an escaped prisoner/martial artist/werewolf), Schneider Belmont (a traditional whip wielder), Corler (a cyborg who carries the classic horror chainsaw as well as a shotgun) and Carrie Eastfield (an innocent but powerful spell-casting schoolgirl). Carrie was eventually renamed Carrie Fernandez to allow her a Spanish story and heritage.
