Celia De Fréine

De Fréine, Celia (1948- ), poet and dramatist; born in Newtownards, Co. Down, she was educated at UCD and Lancaster. She worked as a civil servant, theatre director, and teacher. Her plays include The Midnight Court (1982), The Courting of Emer (1985), Diarmuid agus Gráinne (1986, in Irish), and Two Girls in Silk Kimonos (1991). She has worked as a scriptwriter for Telefís na Gaeilge.
