One qualified to Appraise residences and up to 4 units of housing. Under appraiser certification law, it requires 200 hours of qualifying education, 2,500 hours of experience, and a comprehensive examination. Requires 21 semester hours of college credit or a 2-year associate's degree.
Example: E.T. Jones is a certified residential appraiser and does much of the appraisal work for houses that are VA and FHA financed.
