Charles de Lint

Charles de Lint is chiefly a fantasy writer who created the genre of urban fantasy (the incorporation of ancient, mythic themes into a modern, metropolitan setting). He is also a Celtic folk musician, folklore scholar, book reviewer, poet, and visual artist.
Many of de Lint's works of urban fantasy fiction are set in the fictitious city of Newford. These works include:

Born in the Netherlands on December 22, 1951, de Lint moved to Canada at the age of four months.
