The logarithm of 1 to the base 1 is indeterminate. The logarithm of a number x to the base a is a number y, such that ay = x. The most common base a is 10, or the n…atural base a is e (2.718281828...). It is invalid to think of logarithms base 1, because 1 to the power of anything is still 1. (MORE)

because just like any other math problem a number plus a number is how ever many more #'s it was than there was at the start of the number... == The fact that 1 plus 1 is 2 re…ally comes down to the definition of 1 and 2 and plus. 2 is defined to be the next number after 1. (i.e. the successor of 1) Addition, denoted by plus, is defined , in part, by the rule: n +1 is the successor of n. That is, adding one to a number is the same as finding the number after it. (MORE)

in the mathematical way, yes but if you would like to see the other ways here's how it goes.. 1+1= a window.. the two 1's make the 2 sides.. the equals sign breaks up and goes… at the top& the bottom.. the add sign goes in the middle.. and there you have it.. a window.. also there are ways that you could say it.. like 1 'plus' 1 or 1 'add' 1 or 1 'and' 1 and that is the one i am going to tell you today.. 1 'and' 1 can mean 11 like 2 'and' 2 can mean 22.. do you get it? there is many ways looking at just simple numbers. Yes. In general, take any natural number n. We can find n factorial by multiplying n by each natural number that is less than n. So 4! is 4x3x2x1. In the case of …1! it is just 1 since there are no natural numbers less than 1. (MORE)

The distance between the points can be calculated by using the difference in the x coordinates, the difference in the y coordinates and Pythagoras. distance = sqrt((differenc…e_in_x_coords)2 + difference_in_y_coords)2) So for the points (-1, 1) and (1, -1) the distance between them is: sqrt((-1 - 1)2 + (1 - -1)2) =sqrt(22 + 22) =sqrt(4 + 4) = sqrt(8) ~= 2.83 (MORE)
