Wikipedia: Churchill china

Churchill China plc is a crockery manufacturer based in Stoke-on-Trent in the United Kingdom.

History of the Company

Churchill China can trace its origins back to 1795 and the foundation of its first factory in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire, England.

The Company also markets two other English brands, Queens and James Sadler.

Queens produces English fine bone china and supplies stores throughout the world.

James Sadler was established in 1882.

The chairman of the company is Stephen Roper, who along with his wife has been pursuing Alton Towers over noise levels at their house, Farley House in Farley, whilst Churchill China has itself caused complaints from people living near the company's Tunstall High Street factory which operates 24hrs a day.[1]
