I'm not sure what you consider "the five individual peninsulas" of Europe. My guesses:

The Italian peninsula - most of Italy (and, technically, the Vatican City)

The Iberian peninsula - Spain and Portugal

The Cimbrian (Jutland) peninsula - Denmark and (part of) Germany

The Scandinavian peninsula - Norway, Sweden, and part of Finland

The Kola peninsula - (a small part of) Russia

There were no wars in 100 BC.

The Cimbrian wars (113-101) ended the previous year. The Cimbri were a Germanic people who migrated from present day Denmark and attacked the Romans in Roman-controlled areas in Austria, Gaul, and Spain, routing the Roman armies. Gaius Marius too charge of the final stage of the war. He won the last but one battle at Aquae Sextiae (Aix-en-Provence) in Gaul in 102 BC. Marius also claimed credit for the final battle of the war at Vercellae (101 BC), in northern Italy, even though much of the merit was Sulla's, the commander of the cavalry.

In 100 BC there was internal strife. There was a plebeian agitation in favour of proposals to give land to the veterans of the war and to lower the price of the grain distributed to the poor. The senate ordered Marius as consul to suppress the revolt. Even through Marius was a supporter of the reformers, he complied. He wanted to please the senate because he had encountered hostility for being an outsider, someone who had come from outside the city.

There are at least three cases of a Publius Cimber. Two of them relate to the play 'Julius Caesar' by William Shakespeare [baptized April 26, 1564-April 23, 1616]. The other case refers to the much earlier Publius Cimber aka Publius the Cimbrian. This Publius was a member of a Germanic tribe that unsuccessfully tried to invade Italy in the first or second century B.C.E.* His tribe was defeated by Marius. *Before the Christian Era.
