John Leigh (August 3, 1884 - July 28, 1959) succeeded Sir Arthur du Cros as the seventh Member of Parliament for Clapham, serving between 1922 and 1945. Following the end of Leigh's term as Member of Parliament for Clapham, John Battley (November 26, 1880 - November 1, 1952) became the eighth Member of Parliament for Clapham, serving between 1945 and 1950.
