colt combat commander has a steel frame, the regular commander
has one made of alumimum. this is the main difference.

1. The commander slide is about a half inch shorter, the hammer
is different. Also, the frame is aluminum with the exception of the
combat commander which is made of steel.

"SC" stands for the finish, which is satin nickel. A Commander
with "BS" in the serial number had a blued steel finish.
