It depends on the type of lizard. Probably if your lizard is small it will eat bugs. Geckos, common side blotched lizards, alligator lizards, etc eat bugs. We feed my lizard crickets and meal worms, which my lizard is a common side blotched lizard. Hope I helped you and your lizard.

The side blotched lizard is found mostly in northern western United States. They can be found is southern states as well. They are characterized by having common blotches (which refers to placement, not frequency), and a throat that features yellow, orange or blue coloring. They grow to be roughly six inches in length tail included. Are they a pet? I suppose anything can be a pet, how it will fair is really the question. A side blotched lizard would require live food (insects, crickets, spiders etc.) heat, water, and places to hide. Said lizard could be a pet that you cant pet as side blotched lizards have been known to bite.
