Transfer information or a message from one person to another. The sender may communicate to the receiver via a verbal communication channel such as speech, or may use a nonverbal form of communication such as body language that communicates feelings through gestures, or art that communicates ideas through visual images. The objective of advertising is to communicate the advertiser's message to consumers. See also communicator.
