The Committee of Presidents of Statistical Societies (COPSS) aims to promote the common interests of the societies involved, which are the American Statistical Association, the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, the Statistical Society of Canada, and the two North American branches of the International Biometrics Society. Its most prestigious prize is the Fisher Lectureship.
